Pandas also need our protection Yang Zi calls for attention to wild animals

We are inextricably linked to nature, and the destruction of ecological balance and the impact of human activities on wildlife make it increasingly difficult for them to survive. To appeal to the public to pay attention to wildlife protection, China Wildlife Conservation Association and WildAid held a "World Earth Day" themed event. During the event, Wildlife Rescue ambassador Yang Zi shared her experience in wildlife conservation work and also urged the public not to buy wildlife products such as ivory as souvenirs when traveling abroad.

Wild elephant populations have declined dramatically since the 1970s, Asian and African elephants are listed as endangered species, and CITES has banned commercial international trade in ivory. Should their lives and future be sacrificed for the sake of our whim?

During the event, Yang emphasized the responsibility and obligation of tourism industry practitioners and tourists to abide by the law and refuse to buy, sell and bring ivory into the country by portraying three different characters in a public service campaign video.

Wild animals are an integral part of the ecosystem and their protection is vital to the maintenance of ecological balance. The survival of wild animals is deteriorating and it is the responsibility of each and every one of us to act and do our part for their protection.

Among wild animals, the panda is a presence that cannot be ignored. As a national treasure of China, it is one of the most successfully protected endangered species in the world, but still faces various threats. Therefore, protecting pandas is also part of protecting wildlife.

To protect wildlife and pandas, our efforts and support are needed. In addition to supporting relevant conservation organizations and programs, we can promote public awareness and attention to their conservation by learning about their habits and conservation status through travel and tourism. At the same time, we can also support the conservation and restoration of the ecosystems they inhabit to provide them with a better living environment. Protecting wild animals and pandas is not only for their own survival and reproduction, but also for maintaining our own ecological environment and ecological balance.
